Sim Owner Details by Number
Due to a rise in identity fraud, the misuse of SIM cards, and internet fraud, many individuals and companies now use our lookup feature to find out who is getting calls or messages at a given number. Checking who the SIM owner is by mobile number or to see their legal name becomes important if you are handling an official or corporate case.
Check Airtel SIM Owner Name
You cannot see the Airtel SIM card owner’s name without the number or legal approval. Such information will be given to third parties by Airtel when the law or regulations require it.
Method: Airtel Customer Care
- Dial 121 if you are calling from an Airtel or their customer service number.
- Describe why you need to confirm the name of the SIM owner.
- Submit required documentation, if required as per telecom operator privacy policy.
- Police complaint (if required).
- Legal notice or request by the police.
- Your photo ID proof.
- Your request has to be found valid by Airtel, and only then will they release the SIM registration details.
Note: - The Airtel Thanks app login will display the SIM card owner's name only if you already possess access to the number.
Check Jio SIM Owner Name
If you want to find out how to get the SIM owner's name with the mobile number Jio, the choices are restricted to official support levels..
Method: Jio Customer Care

Using TAFCOP to Check SIM Card Owner Name Online in India
Using the TAFCOP portal, offered by the Government of India, individuals can see how many SIM cards bear their ID.
TAFCOP tracking process;
- Visit https://tafcop.sancharsaathi.gov.in/telecomUser/
- Enter your phone number into your account information.
- Enter the OTP you were sent.
- The table of all phone numbers connected to your Aadhaar or ID can be viewed.
You can only request someone’s SIM card owner's name if that person is physically with you. The tool is meant only to help users see if any unapproved SIMs have been set up using their details.
Third Party App's
There are so many other private tracking tools available in the open market; maybe these available tools are not 100% accurate because they are not directly managed by telecom operators.
One more reason it may not be accurate is because it uses Owen's created database and information collected by users or other resources. In comparative private tracking software providers, telecom operators maintained data by address and ID proof submitted by the user.
Trucaller
Truecaller helps you find the possible name of a number, but it does this by gathering information from user-created and public contact lists. You should not use it to prove your identity and it may not provide accurate information.
Third-Party Lookup Tools
Spokeo, FindPeopleFast, and other sites provide services of cell phone number owner checks based on public databases. But:
- They are usually paid services
- Accuracy is not guaranteed
- Applying them for access to personal data could be privacy-altering
No Direct Check of Another Person's SIM Card Owner Name Through a Number
A phone number cannot be used legally to learn the owner’s name of a SIM card. Every detail is kept separate as personal or confidential, and they are all well protected by the Indian Telegraph Act and India’s laws on data privacy.
All companies—Airtel, Jio, Vi, and BSNL—will only give SIM data when legally required.
- The request is made through official legal procedures
- The request states a genuine reason, like fraud, harassment, or impersonation
- Supporting documents, like a police complaint, court order, or written affidavit, are submitted
If you feel someone is misusing your identity or a number is dangerous, the proper method is to call the customer care of the telecom operator and report the problem through a formal procedure.
